Dioko Coffee Co. Joplin, MO (4/29/05)

Fresh off the heels of the final Breathing Buildings recording sessions, Pond Monkeys were ready to return to the stage.  The band played for nearly an hour and half to a very appreciative and patient audience.  Several new songs were performed, including a cover of Queens of the Stone Age's "The Long, Slow Goodbye" and a new song in the key of D minor.

The band stumbled to find its groove through parts of the set, but ended strongly with rocking versions of "Truth Be Told" and "Your Fiction."

A huge thanks to the awesome Joplin crowd for coming out to support Pond Monkeys.

Another thanks to all of the Fort Scotians and Pittsburgians (?) who came to support the band (Lisa, Elizabeth, Tanner, Trotter, Matt, Lindsey, Melanie, Jiliian, Logan & Hilary, Sammi, Kelly, Renee, Erin, Nisareen, Ashley...).

Trent Pruitt joined the band on percussion, and Matt Brown snapped some photos.
